Is Termax a good JuiceSSH replacement?
Yes. Does Termax for Android support hardware keyboards?
Yes. Bluetooth and USB keyboards work in the terminal, including modifier keys and function keys. External mice work too — you can select text and scroll like on a desktop.
Can I install Termax as APK without Google Play?
Yes. A signed APK is on termax.app. Enable Install from unknown sources for your browser, then open the APK. Google Play delivers automatic updates; with the APK you update manually.
Does Termax on Android use much battery or data?
SSH is text-based and extremely bandwidth-efficient — a typical shell session uses a few kilobytes per minute. Battery impact is minimal because the terminal only renders while active.
Where are my SSH credentials stored on Android?
In the hardware-backed Android Keystore. Keys and passwords never leave the device unencrypted; on devices with a secure element they are protected by hardware. Without an account there is no cloud involved at all.
Does Termax work offline?
The app itself works offline — you can review your connection list, edit configs, and generate keys without a network. You'll need a network to actually reach an SSH server, of course.
